As soon as you land in Rio de Janeiro the first impression is an unorganized airport, followed by getting stuck in traffic and driving surrounded by favelas. Not to mention, you have to grow eyes on your back and be on the look out for robbers – locked doors and windows shut are a must.
But then I get past all the craziness and arrive home, and all of this beauty is just there. Untouched, preserved by law and even more beautiful than I remembered.
