A tribute to the man’s best friend

I have been flirting with the idea of adopting a dog for a long time. So today  I went through several adoption websites and it broke my heart to see all the ‘unwanted’ ones and I was sobbing when I saw the profile of the seniors dogs… Will they find a home? Will they be loved? I don’t know if I can offer a good home since I live in an apartment with no balcony, I travel to Brazil 2 or 3 times per year, I work 9-5 and I also run a home office business on nites and weekends. All I can do right now it seems to donate money for the shelters and I felt obligated to pass the word about this website where you can click for FREE and their sponsors will pay for food & care for rescued animals. Please visit The Animal Rescue here. You can also donate money to Pug Dog Rescue by sending a check made out to Pugs ‘N Pals, c/o Carina’s Fund to P.O. Box 9343, Newport Beach, CA 92658 or via pay pal at www.pugdogrescue.com (scroll to bottom of this page).

And for those of you who did adopted a rescued dog I applaud you immensely – there is the most beautiful cause! I would love to hear from those of you who have gone through the experience! I really really wish I could adopted them all, specially the senior ones. My heart is melting over Walter – could you give Walter a loving home?

  • Great post! I am a believer in adopting animals or being a guardian. Animals can also be fostered as well as volunteering to walk at some shelters. Don’t even get me started about all of the pedigreed animals purchased for megabucks when they can also be adopted, my sister just found her Siberian Husky at an L.A. shelter.

  • ooh my gosh! After this post I want to adopt one too! My husband and I eventually want to get a bulldog boxer mix.
    Golden Retriever is another favorite:)
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

  • Our journey has begun!… secretly though =)

If I’ve left you this message, you’re a follower of my original blog ~OR~ just someone I’ve happened upon while sending out these invites and decided I would LOVE for to come along for the ride! Though I won’t be revealing who I am just yet – until we’re TO and THROUGH the first trimester! Just getting the word out about our new site – further explanation of all the secrecy and what we’re about on my first post now up. I’d love for you to stop by.

Exciting things going on around here!
