We all fell in love with the products designed by Liberty London in collaboration with Target. I mean, how could you not? But what most amazed me was their multimedia indoor garden setting designed as limited-time-only shopping experience in NY.
I just love environmental design! I love the fact that someone really puts thought and passion through walls, floor, scent, audio, lighting, technology… all the ingredients that create a perfect branding experience. I really admire whoever designed this space, they created such a magical ambience translating all the beautiful 2D designs from Liberty London into a stunning 3D world. I could only wish that every store were like that…
“The idea behind this shopping experience was to give New Yorkers an opportunity to celebrate spring in full bloom at Target with Liberty of London and to offer Target guests something they’ve never seen before.” said Joshua Thomas, Target spokesman. A huge success, the pop-up store had to close down two days early as they ran out of merchandise!
“The stunning retail space featured an indoor garden where natural floral elements met colorful digital projections. Liberty of London’s iconic prints covered every surface from backdrops to columns to window murals, with fabric banners featuring blown-up versions of the prints hanging over the sales floor. Subtle Target logos and British flags were hidden in patterns and lighting, while digital images of swirling patterns were projected onto supersized replicas of key items for sale – a tea cup, a man’s shirt and an umbrella. And, in a case where “more is more”, a fresh flower installation boasting more than 12,000 flowers was on display, along with additional arrangements filling floral printed vases, rain boots and totes”. – written by Stylesight.
